Two appointments at 5 News

ITN and Channel 5 have appointed Cait Fitzsimons as deputy editor and Ian Jones as senior programme editor at 5 News.

Currently a 5 News programme editor, Fitzsimons has also worked at ITV News and Sky News. She replaces Richard Zackheim who is joining ITV News as deputy editor.

Jones has worked at 5 News since 2007. He will lead and manage the output production team.
