Tom Fitzpatrick joins the Irish Examiner while Joe Dermody is promoted

The Irish Examiner has appointed Tom Fitzpatrick as head of editorial development.

Tom will join the newspaper on 26 August and will help lead and oversee the integration of a multi-platform newsroom, using new technology and processes to enable the Irish Examiner’s continued growth. He has previously served as editor of Construction News and can be found tweeting @Tom1Fitzpatrick.

Joe Dermody has also been promoted to digital content studio editor.

He was previously commercial supplements and training editor and in his new role, he will help clients to tell their stories and promote their brands to audiences across all media and online platforms. He can be found tweeting @JoeDermody.
