The Guardian appoints data editor
Guardian News & Media has appointed Tweetminster co-founder and CEO Alberto Nardelli to the position of data editor.
Nardelli will be responsible for developing data-driven news stories and projects for The Guardian and The Observer newspapers as well as theguardian.com. He will also oversee the Datastore site and help to create editorial innovations to advance Guardian News & Media’s digital storytelling. The position of data editor was most recently held by James Ball, who has been working in the US as special projects editor and will return to the UK in September.
Nardelli will start his role in September.
