Sunday Independent saved after local businessman steps in

The Sunday Independent has been saved after West Country businessman Peter Masters stepped in to take over the 200-year-old title in a move which has saved 17 jobs.

The newspaper closed two weeks ago following the sudden death of its previous owner Brian Doel, but will be back on newsstands this Sunday 23 April.
