Schedule and editorial changes at Sky News
Sky News has made changes to its daytime and early evening line-up. Anchor Kay Burley will host The Kay Burley Show, Monday – Thursday from 2pm to 5pm. The show will cover breaking news alongside Kay’s own perspective on the days stories, also featuring interviews and debate. Kay has been with Sky News since its launch nearly 30 years ago.
Mark Austin will return from the Washington bureau, where he has spent a year as US Correspondent, to present The News Hour. From 5pm every weekday the show will provide a round-up of the days news, a recap of events and analysis from Sky News correspondents and interviews.
Sky’s has also appointed several correspondents to bolster specialist reporting across Sky platforms. Jason Farrell has moved from Westminster to become Home Editor, Beth Rigby is now Deputy Political Editor and Kate McCann joins the political team from The Daily Telegraph. Nick Martin is now reporting on politics from outside Westminster as Politics and People Correspondent. Former Wired Associate Editor, Rowland Manthorpe has joined as Tech Correspondent while Martha Kelner will be leaving The Guardian to become Sky News Sport Correspondent. The Times‘ Defence Editor Deborah Haynes will join Sky as Foreign Affairs Editor later this month.
