SalonFocus wins at Trade Association Forum awards
The National Hairdressers’ Federation (NHF) has won Publication of the Year for SalonFocus in this year’s Trade Association Forum (TAF) Best Practice Awards.
SalonFocus is currently edited by Nic Paton. Andrew Don, who was launch editor until the end of last year, is the magazine’s editorial consultant. The award covers issues of the magazine under the editorship of each.
SalonFocus beat off stiff competition from organisations such as the British Beer & Pub Association and the Recruitment & Employment Confederation to win in its category.
The campaigns SalonFocus has run, and continues to run, around issues such as chemical hair straighteners and how VAT is levied on small businesses have given the NHF an increasingly prominent national profile. Its willingness to publicise business scams that have targeted the sector have also saved members potentially hundreds of thousands of pounds over the years.
