Rob Irvine leaves Manchester Evening News
Manchester Evening News‘ Editor-in-Chief Rob Irvine will be leaving the newspaper at the end of March, after six years of service. He can be found tweeting @RobIrvine99.
Darren Thwaites, currently Editor-in-Chief of Trinity Mirror North East, will move across to take over from Rob as Editor-in-Chief of Manchester Evening News and The Huddersfield Daily Examiner at the end of March. Darren can be found on Twitter @DarrenThwaites.
At the same time Neil Hodgkinson, Editor-in-Chief of Humber and Lincolnshire titles, will widen his brief to include the North East.
Additionally, Helen Dalby (on Twitter @helendalby) and Sarah Lester (tweeting @sarahllester), Heads of Digital in the North East and Manchester respectively, will also step up to become the Senior Editor in their centres.
