Northcliffe name senior editors
Northcliffe Media has named the senior regional editors of their stable in the south-east.
Nev Wilson, currently editor of the Brentwood Gazette, will head up the Essex Chronicle Media Group, overseeing the Gazette and Essex Chronicle. Paul Dent-Jones, deputy editor of the Chronicle, is promoted to editor.
Roger Kasper, Sevenoaks Chronicles' editor, is made senior editor of the Courier Media Group. Ian Read will continue to edit the Kent and Sussex Courier.
Glenn Ebrey, editor of the Croydon Advertiser, is now East Surrey and Sussex Media's regional editor. He will oversee the Crawley News and Surrey Mirror, which are edited by Andy Worden and Deanne Blaylock respectively.
Rebecca Smith will oversee the Kent Regional News and Media Group, editing the Thanet Gazette and heading the Folkestone Herald and Dover Express, edited by Simon Finlay, and the Whitstable Times, which is edited by John Nurden.
The roles have been created after Alan Geere, formerly the editorial director of the collective regions, left to start a journalism training school in Uganda.
