New Statesman launches two projects

New Statesman's parent company Progressive Media is to launch two data-driven websites.

CityMetric.com will explore the challenges facing the world’s cities, through a combination of analysis, data and reports on topics such as demographics, transport policy, economics and urban planning. Its target audience will be companies, policymakers and urbanites who want to know about the places where they work, invest and live. City Metric will be edited by Jonn Elledge, currently a regular blog contributor for the New Statesman and former editor of EducationInvestor.

May2015.com will keep readers updated in the run-up to next year’s general election, through polling, demographic data and issue-based analysis. Joining the team as editor of May2015.com is Harry Lambert, who will be seconded by the New Statesman's existing politics team led by George Eaton.
