Lancashire Evening Post editor leaves
Simon Reynolds, editor of the Lancashire Evening Post, left his position yesterday after it was announced his role was to be merged with another title's in a major editorial restructure.
Reynolds, who has been editor at the LEP for over a decade, was officially placed on leave by regional managing director for Johnston Press Gary Fearon while his position is decided.
His role is to be merged with the editor of the Chorley Guardian, while the deputy editor’s roles at the Evening Post, the Gazette and the Wigan Evening Post are also being axed as part of the changes.
