Kirsty Young steps down from Desert Island Discs
BBC Radio 4’s Kirsty Young has stepped down from her role as presenter of Desert Island Discs. Kirsty, who has presented the programme since 2006, took some months away due to health problems but has now decided to permanently step down from the role. Lauren Laverne will continue to host Desert Island Discs for the foreseeable future.
