BBC England has appointed Jason Gibbins to work on its digital team in Birmingham.

Gibbins, editor of the Banbury Guardian, has recently taken on the editorships of the Bucks Herald, Bucks Advertiser, Hemel Hempstead Gazette and the Buckingham and Winslow Advertiser as part of Johnston Press’ ‘newsroom of the future’ restructure.

He will join the BBC in July after 22 years working for regional press titles.
