Editorial director steps down after 17 years

Newbury News Ltd editorial director Brien Beharrell will step down at the end of the year.

Beharrell joined Newbury Weekly News in 1975, becoming deputy editor and editor. She was appointed group editor in 1997, and joined the board as editorial director in 2002.

She is standing down to coincide with her husband's retirement.
