The Journalist is to lose editor Tim Gopsill, who will retire later this year after 21 years at the title.

The process has begun to elect a new editor for the magazine. Applicants for the vacancy must have been NUJ members for five years and will have to subject themselves to a ballot of their fellow union members.

The Journalist is the official magazine of the National Union of Journalists.
