Editor appointed at BBC Newsbeat
The BBC has appointed Louisa Compton as editor of BBC Newsbeat.
Compton will leave her current role as daytime editor at BBC Radio 5 live on Friday, where she had been working with Victoria Derbyshire, Shelagh Fogarty and Richard Bacon. She can be found tweeting @louisa_compton.
Kevin Silverton, acting Newsbeat editor, will continue with his role as head of news at BBC Asian Network.
