Dynamo launch for AQA co-founder and ex-Hotwire creative
AQA’s (Any Question Answered) Paul Cockerton and ex-Hotwire creative Peter Bowles have launched Dynamo, a new technology and communications consultancy.
Dynamo has been created “out of a desire to do things differently”, based on the founders’ 30 years combined experience in leading, and working for communications agencies. Combining traditional PR with social media tactics and digital communications, Dynamo hopes to talk directly to consumers as well as the media.
The agency’s first client is The Wand Company, whose digital wand product controls iPods, TV sets and lighting at the flick of a wrist. They have hired Dynamo to further boost sales with consumers and to attract more high street retailers to stock the product in the run up to Spring Fair International (6th February 2011).
Targeting consumer technology clients, the London-based agency aim to make technology products and services accessible to all, concentrating on the lifestyle press; and break gadgets free from talking about specs, RAM and intangible data.
“Technology has moved on. These days consumers want to know how a product will improve their everyday lives and are less focused on the technical data behind a product. They want sexy product design and for their home to feel magical – that’s where we come in,” explains Peter Bowles, Creative MD, Dynamo.
“We’re putting the customer first, delivering only what they need to help increase sales, drive profitability, or raise brand awareness,” said Paul Cockerton, MD Operations, Dynamo.
