Daily Star’s Steve Acteson to retire

Daily Star Night Sports News Editor Steve Acteson will be retiring on Friday 5 October after 21 years in the role and 45 years in journalism.

Steve began on the Faversham Times before moving to Press Association where in 1982 he became the agency’s first full-time Snooker and Darts Reporter. He was later Snooker Correspondent for The Times and Today simultaneously, before covering Formula One for three seasons with Today. Steve has written about a variety of sports during his career in journalism, also including football, athletics, sailing, cricket, and golf.
