Daily Record and Sunday Mail merge editorial departments

Media Scotland national newspapers Daily Record and Sunday Mail are merging their separate editorial teams into one. Journalists, whether news, features or sports, will work across both titles.

As part of the restructure there have been a few changes to editorial management.

Murray Foote has been named Editor-in-Chief, Nationals, and remains Editor at Daily Record.

Brendan McGinty, previously Deputy Editor on Sunday Mail, is promoted to Editor, replacing Jim Wilson who left the paper in August. Brendan is now also Deputy Editor on Daily Record.

Kenny Barr will be Editor-in-Chief, Regionals at Media Scotland. Kenny succeeds John Murdoch, who retires at the end of the year.
