CIBSE Journal has appointed Alex Smith as editor.

Smith joined in July and was previously writing freelance articles for the construction press including Building and The Construction Index and providing editorial services for PR companies working in the built environment. He was at Building magazine for eleven years, working on the magazine, website and various supplements.
