Changes at the Independent on Sunday and Independent

John Mullin has left his role as editor of the Independent on Sunday as part of the restructuring of the Independent and Evening Standard titles.

Chris Blackhurst will be the editor of the seven-day Independent, with Sarah Sands remaining as editor of the Evening Standard and Stefano Hatfield as editor of i.

This follows moves by the Lebedev owned titles to switch to a seven day operation, with the Independent, London Evening Standard and London Live, a soon to be launched TV channel.

The staff working on the Independent on Sunday will be merged with that of the daily paper.
