BBC Radio 4 launches two arts programmes as it bids farewell to Midweek
BBC Radio 4 has confirmed changes to its schedule from April 2017. Libby Purves, former Today Presenter, will host a monthly show exploring theatre across the UK.
Another high-profile long form interview series, which welcomes prominent figures from the arts world to Radio 4, is also set to launch in April. The presenter-free show will feature half-hour interviews between leading artists – including writers, musicians and poets.
This means that Radio 4 will be saying goodbye to Midweek as the programme comes to an end in March 2017.
