The Small Business Blog is one of the most widely-read blogs for small and micro business owners, with daily exclusive content from the team, as well as providing a round-up of some of the most important small biz news issues of the moment.
Tell us about your blog, how did you get started? Why did you choose your subject?
The blog started in 2006 as a way for the founder Stefan Töpfer to share his decades of experience as an entrepreneur, but it has since opened up to include submissions from our team of successful business authors.
How do you source content for your blog?
Either from personal experience of business ownership or based upon the current issues of the day.
Do you write reviews?
We occasionally review business books that Stefan has read and if he feels that the audience would enjoy reading them also.
How did you build a following for your blog?
By providing exclusive content and business viewpoints from our team of experts, we were able to build a loyal readership.
Are you a PR friendly blog? Do you accept contributions and content for your blog?
We are PR friendly but we only promote things that we feel would be of interest to our readership of small business owners.
How best do you like to be approached by PRs?
Via email.
What’s the best thing about being a blogger in your field?
Making connections with great people and being able to spark a discussion about the things that directly effect the small business community.
