ITV News’ business editor to join Newsnight

ITV News' business editor Laura Kuenssberg will join BBC's Newsnight as chief correspondent next year.

Kuenssberg will cover stories across a wide range of areas, leading the current affairs programme's coverage of major running stories. She will regularly present the programme.

Joining from ITV News, Kuenssberg has been business editor at the network since 2011. Previously she was chief political correspondent at the BBC News Channel.

Kuenssberg will take up her role in mid-February 2014 and can be found tweeting @ITVLauraK.
