Another fantastic journalist party at the Cheshire Cheese
Each year we host journalists in the spiritual home of British journalism – a good old boozer on London’s Fleet Street called the Cheshire Cheese.
This gathering is somewhat of an institution. Although DWPub has been involved for about seven years we understand the event dates back to the mid-70s and was run for many years by now-retired tech PR supremo Bill Moores.
This year’s event was as well attended as ever with over 170 journalists popping in during the afternoon of Wednesday 17 December. It was good to catch up with many old friends from my time as a journalist, and it was equally great to see more new faces than ever this year.
Congratulations to Graham Hambly of PQ magazine who won the business card draw, a bottle of fizz is on its way.
