The Guardian to undergo editorial restructure
The Guardian will undergo an editorial restructure this summer, with changes planned across its UK, US and Australian operations.
Janine Gibson, the paper's US editor, will return to the UK to become deputy editor of Guardian News & Media and editor-in-chief of theguardian.com.
She will be replaced in Washington by Katharine Viner, who is currently editor of Guardian Australia.
Guardian.com UK network editor Emily Wilson will take over the vacant editor position in Australia.
Further changes will take place to the London operation with Jonathan Freedland set to become executive editor, while US deputy editor Stuart Millar returns to the UK as head of news.
