Red magazine will launch free iPad app Red's Best Summer Reads, a compendium of 13 stories, on 23 May. 

Available for download from the Apple Newsstand tomorrow, the digital special features first-person memoirs, celebrity profiles, humour pieces, and relationship insights. Red writers showcased in the compilation include Rosie Green, Bryony Gordon, Sarfraz Manzoor and Allegra Mcevedy.
