Regional newspaper Northampton Herald & Post has closed its office. The move comes as part of a series of changes at publisher Local World.

Reporters at the paper are set to "go mobile" after production was moved to Bedford, while earlier this month editorial hubs were opened in partnership with the Guildhall in Northampton. 

Local World said the hub will provide "an ideal location to meet customers and develop content".

Additionally, content director and former group editor Steve Lowe has left the business. Lowe, whose role will not be replaced, had been with LSN Media since 1998.

LSN Media became part of Local World in January 2013.
