Channel 4 confirms Leeds as National HQ
Channel 4’s Chief Executive Alex Mahon and the Channel 4 Board have confirmed that its National HQ is to be based in Leeds, with two Creative Hubs being created in Bristol and Glasgow. The change comes as part of the ‘4 All the UK’ strategy, set out in March 2018, to ensure that Channel 4 better represents all of the UK.
After discussions between Channel 4 and ITN, it has also been decided that a major Channel 4 News hub will be established in Leeds, with a studio with the capability to regularly co-anchor the programme.
It is envisaged that staff will begin to move location in the second half of 2019.
