2018 (so far) on the ResponseSource Media Contacts Database
We’re constantly improving our media database
The first half of 2018 has seen some exciting developments on the Media Contacts Database. We wanted to build on the success of last year and make it even easier for users to find relevant journalists. Our recent article and now tweet search do just that.
Our clients now have access to media data collected from our journalist network, our large in-house Research Team, journalists recent articles, RSS feeds and Twitter. There are hundreds of new data points added each day; don’t miss out on a new opportunity!
Here’s a recap of the H1 2018 highlights:
Recent Articles
Each night we scan the Web for new articles. When we find a journalist has published a by-lined article we index it. Clients can then search for relevant keywords to their campaigns and we will match those against tens of thousands of journalist articles. Users can see detailed profiles, including contact details, of who is writing about their subject and where those articles are being published.
In the close of 2017 we wanted clients to be able to search for articles. Since then we’ve made this even easier with a host of UI improvements e.g. highlighting. We’ve also added this data source to Press List Updates which is a fantastic tool that will let you know when contacts could be added or removed from your lists.
Tweet Search
We are using Tweet Search as a data source in the same way as recent articles. We have access to over 2,000,000 tweets *from UK journalists* at your disposal. Cut through the noise by searching Twitter via the Media Contacts Database which only focuses on verified journalists in UK/IE. Within hours, tweets will be included in your search results and you can quickly find out so much more about the author thanks to our dedicated Research Team.
Twitter bios are short. Searching with ResponseSource gives you a full profile of media professionals including contact details, social media, address, patch, biography, your own relationship data (if you’ve contacted them in the past) and – exclusive to ResponseSource – a list of their past journalist enquiries to PRs.
Press List Alerts
All press lists on the ResponseSource Media Contacts Database have a ‘Latest Updates’ tab. Here you can save your search criteria and the site will automatically refresh your search for you, saving you valuable time.
Even better, this tool now comes with an email alert! You no longer have to keep logging in to check on your new results, ResponseSource will email you if there are any new journalists that match your search settings.
Press List Alerts include recent article and twitter data. So if journalists are talking about your keywords you will find out without lifting a finger.
We are striving to build the best media database for UK data and are constantly improving. We love and listen to our users – join us today!
