Additions at Media Wales

Media Wales (MW), publisher of WalesOnline.co.uk, Western Mail, South Wales Echo, Wales on Sunday, Metro and the Celtic Weekly titles, has made a number of additions to the titles’ joint editorial team.

Dominic Booth and Jack Vittles have joined MW as Digital Sports Writers, having both worked at Glamorgan County Cricket Club. Ian Mitchelmore has also joined as a Digital Sports Writer, previously working as a Sports Journalist at the Mid Glamorgan Press AgencyJoshua Knapman, previously a Copy Editor at Newsquest, has joined the team as the Newport What’s On Writer. Cardiff School of Journalism MA graduate Katie Gupwell is starting as a Trainee Reporter, and Will Hayward also joins MW as a Trainee Reporter, having retrained in journalism. Thomas Deacon comes in as a Trainee Multimedia Journalist, having recently completed his NCTJ training at News Associates in London after working for six months at a digital agency in Cardiff.
