BBC deputy political editor revealed

BBC News has appointed John Pienaar as deputy political editor, replacing James Landale who is moving into a new role as BBC diplomatic correspondent.

Pienaar, currently chief political correspondent for 5 live Drive, will continue to present Pienaar’s Politics on BBC Radio 5 live.
