<title>Poetry, ferrets, cakes and great music at the innocent village fete</title>
			<description>Regent’s Park, London
2nd – 3rd August 2008
11am – 7pm

Join us for an afternoon of ferret racing, cake eating and Morris dancing at the innocent village fete in Regent’s Park on Saturday 2nd August and Sunday 3rd August 2008.

Now in its second year, the innocent village fete is a great day out for all the family and the perfect way to while away the hours on a hot summer’s day (fingers crossed for lots of sunshine). It all starts at 11am and runs until 7pm. So, pencil it in your diary, scribble it on your hand and tell all your friends. Last year’s event sold out, so make sure you get your tickets quickly.

Over the weekend, you’ll be able to indulge in the following fete pursuits: welly-wanging, duck herding, dog agility (just for dogs), coconut shy, ferret racing, Morris dancing, old fashioned funfair rides, cream teas, home-made cakes, tombola, a band stand and lots more.

And we’ll have lots of life’s necessities too: a huge farmers’ market (with stalls from Borough Market), live music from a host of artists including The James Taylor Quartet, The Ukulele Orchestra, Angus &amp; Julia Stone, Christian Prommer's Drumlesson, The Boy Least Likely To, Earl Okin, The Fairey Band, Imelda May, Peter &amp; The Wolf, Son Of Dave, James Yuill and many more.

New for this year is the Village Voice, an area full of story telling, performance, poetry and live theatre. Have your say at speaker’s corner or get your creative hat on and add a line to the fete’s very own poem. Play our Giant Boggle or swap a couple of old books for new ones at our book tombola.

There’ll also be an Acoustic Bandstand, our patented al fresco ballroom; loads of stuff for kids to do (including a dedicated kids’ area with kids food stalls, rides and a petting zoo), a picnic area, a knitting tent, arts and crafts, massages and a feel good area if it all gets a bit much. There’ll be lots of smoothies to taste too.

The innocent village fete is a non profit making event that supports Samaritans, Friends of the Earth, Wellchild and the innocent foundation.

Tickets are £7.50 for adults and £3.50 for kids (plus £1.50 adult booking fee / £1 kids booking fee) and are available via Ticketmaster.

Why we love fetes

Fetes are great place to get together and enjoy the sunshine; they’re a place where you can have a lovely, relaxing day out with friends and family, take part in silly games, raise money for good causes, eat some nice home-baked goods and enjoy a glass of punch.

About innocent

Launched nine years ago, innocent is the number one smoothie brand in the UK with a market share of 72%. We sell over two million fresh, healthy drinks each week in 11,000 outlets - everywhere from Boots to Sainsbury’s to your local deli. The team has grown from three to 270 people who work across Europe. In 2007 we turned over £100 million.

As a business we want to make it easy for people to do themselves some good. And we want to leave the planet a little bit better than we found it. This is reflected in everything from our use of green electricity at Fruit Towers, to sourcing fruit from places that go the extra mile in terms of looking after the people that work on the farms, and the environment. As of 2006 we are proud to say that all our bananas come from Rainforest Alliance accredited farms. Every single year we donate 10% of our profits to the innocent foundation, which funds NGOs in the countries where we source our fruits.

<title>Home buyers told to stake their claim as Spanish developer Martinsa-Fadesa files for insolvency</title>
<description>PRESS INFORMATION - media enquiries to Sam Dabbs on 07711 672893

People in the process of buying a property off plan from the debt-laden Spanish developer Martinsa-Fadesa should contact the company’s administrators as soon as possible, warns law firm DWF.

Antonio Guillen, a Spanish lawyer working for DWF in the UK, says buyers have 30 days to inform the administrators and the court if they wish to be included on list of creditors. They should also try to ascertain through their lawyer if the developer has a bank guarantee in place to cover their deposit or any other sums they have already paid towards the price of their property.

Martinsa-Fadesa, one of the largest developers in Spain and with projects in several countries, filed for voluntary insolvency last week after being unable to get further finance from its bankers. The company owes more than five million euros.

Around 12,500 families, including hundreds of Britons, are believed to have put money down on an off-plan property with Martinsa-Fadesa and now do not know whether it will be completed or if they will have their money refunded.

Antonio Guillen says: “Anyone who believes they are a creditor of Martinsa-Fadesa – and that includes purchasers of properties off-plan or owners of properties that have not been fully completed - should inform the administrators and the court as soon as possible. This has to be done within 30 days of the insolvency arrangement being published through official channels. Under the Spanish Insolvency Act all creditors should receive a personal communication from the administrators but this does not always happen.

“It is advisable for anyone affected to contact a lawyer versed in Spanish insolvency law and provide them with proof of payment. The lawyer will ensure that the necessary papers are in place for the purchaser to have their payment recognised by the court and the administrators.

“The lawyer will also ascertain whether the developer has a bank guarantee in place. This is a requirement under Spanish law although not all developers have been complying with it. The purpose is to ensure that if the developer goes into liquidation and the property is not finished, a guarantor, usually a bank, will give purchasers their money back plus interest.

“This document is extremely important as it could make all the difference between buyers losing all their money and getting a refund.”

Representatives of Martinsa-Fadesa have stated that the developer intends to continue trading and complete all the off-plan properties although it is too early to gage whether this will finally happen.

Antonio Guillen adds: “As usual, cash is king and if Martinsa-Fadesa wants to escape the situation it is in at present it will have to sell off assets, generate more income and find the necessary finance to re-float the business. In the meantime buyers should ensure that they have all the necessary documents to prove their rights and payments, including bank guarantees, and seek legal advice to assess their options until more information is available about the future of the developer.”

<title>Joslin Rowe reports Corporate Action Jobs Are This Years Derivatives</title>
<description>According to the latest Joslin Rowe research, pockets of high volume banking operations recruitment still exist within the City, despite wider doom and gloom. Jobs in corporate actions, in particular, are booming - similar to the demand for derivatives professionals in 2007.

Natalie Eshelby, a senior consultant in Joslin Rowe's [banking operations jobs|http://www.joslinrowe.com/operations/browse/] division, stated: 'The number of corporate actions jobs has actually increased on last year's levels. This is unusual because the slower market has generally meant reductions in job volumes across the operations world. The demand has been fuelled by the nature of the corporate action jobs themselves. Roles within corporate actions have become increasingly intricate in recent years as products have increased in complexity. There is a real skills shortage.'

According to Joslin Rowe research, the evolution of [Corporate actions jobs|http://www.joslinrowe.com/operations/corporate-actions-jobs/] has meant a shift away from process orientated roles to more client service focused and project based positions with a real requirement for supervisory and managerial skills.

'This has had a knock on effect on the calibre of operations professionals that hiring banks will consider,' warned Eshelby. 'Most [Corporate action job|http://www.joslinrowe.com/operations/corporate-actions-jobs/] specs are calling for the very best of the best - although because of the severe skills shortage, banks are open to interviewing candidates from asset managers and custodians. Some banks are even turning to the EU, in particular Dublin, Belgium and Luxembourg as a possible pipeline of talent.'

Salaries have been affected positively as client requirements drive corporate action salaries up. Job seekers moving from outside the investment banking sector are enjoying strong pay increases, whilst those moving around from bank to bank are also being competitively rewarded.

Eshelby points to excellent career progression as the investment banks compete to get the best corporate action people on board. 'We're seeing lots of interesting opportunities in the market at the moment with the chance to move into prime brokerage, securities lending and even middle office. Banks are also trying to improve work life balance within this area – with some incidences of unofficial rotas to allow earlier finishes/later starts.'

The Ethos Group have finished their preliminary negotiations and CEO Peter Aldred flies back to Manila to meet with Daniel Dingle for their next meeting on 08.08.08.

        www.dinglefoundation.com

'We have been absolutely amazed by the ever-growing list of Haulage firms, mining companies, bus companies, taxi firms and private users the world over queuing up to be one of the first to try our new Ethos HydroGenX systems', says Ethos CEO Peter Aldred. Who continued 'Who can blame them; I still remember when fuel was 50p a gallon... then 50p a litre... then £5 a gallon... It's a joke; but seriously, nobody's laughing anymore. Oil recently hit $140 a barrel and commodity traders are banking on it breaking the $200 a barrel barrier by the end of the year. This is not only hitting motorists but everyone is suffering. The mining company that I am personally working with on fuel saving trials spend over $40 million a year on fuel and any positive steps they can take now to combat these almost daily increases has to be one of their highest priorities to protect their bottom line. Hydrogen IS the fuel of the future; it is here now and we should have been allowed to use it 30 years ago when Daniel Dingle first converted his car to run on ordinary tap water. Now, over 30 years further down the road of oil wars and global warming there is now no other viable alternative. Hydrogen is cheap, it is clean and it is safe - The time is now to demand it, it is our right!'

'This isn't a luxury item nor is it a fad, HydroGenX is already the most sought after cost reducing, environment saving, tax evading product that all users are searching for. Any website reporting on the hydrogen products which do the most for their user/readers will soon be reporting us... and now you know why...'

Share in the success of this rapidly expanding enterprise and enjoy making yourself some very healthy profits.

Hi Peter,

Being the skeptic that I am I was very hesitant in buying ethos shares. I do some trading on the stock market and there is no guarantee that you may make money. As a matter of fact you are more likely to lose money than make money. The ethos stock exchange has enhanced my portfolio with no risk. With continued growth of the ethos companies I would highly recommend buying ethos shares. For those skeptics out there I can assure you that there are profits for all.

I must say Peter that you are a true gentleman. You are very up front and easy to deal with. My buying and selling transactions were done without any problems. Again thank you for this great opportunity.

Regards,

JB- Canada.

Congrats on beating the financial sound barrier. Double your money in six weeks must be something of a record!

Thanks for forwarding the quote, Pete.

I would agree wholeheartedly with the sentiments expressed therein. You've kept your ethical intentions and your feet on the ground through thick and thin and I really appreciated it when I was having the occasional problem and you got back to me. That personal touch makes all the difference. Not too many CEO's are so 'user friendly'.

And speaking of gentlemen, I've always found the Canadians to be the nicest of people. Genuinely friendly and scrupulously honest. So you can be sure JB's recommendation comes from the heart.

Again, all the best,

Sam - Spain.

LONDON (UPI) -- A potential new weapon against Alzheimer's is nothing to sneeze at because it's a hay fever medication, British doctors said.

The antihistamine Dimebon improved brain function and memory in patients with early- to mid-stage Alzheimer's, The Sun reported Friday.

The Alzheimer's Research Trust, which assists many of the 500,000 British Alzheimer's patients, told the British newspaper no approved drug resulted in the improvements seen with Dimebon.

Dr. Rachelle Doody, who led research in Houston, told The Lancet medical journal, 'There were clear benefits.'

Ethos Head of R &amp; D, Professor Gallant, has just started their Patent Application for their exciting new novel-compound derivative of the neuro-peptide 'Ignotine'. New Ethos Offices open in California 08.08.08.

Ethos Pete, the Group's CEO, states that this is very significant date in the evolution of the group; 'Number 8 has always been my lucky number and it is the Group's 8 year anniversary on 01.08.08 and it looks like we are spot on our target of getting our 8,000th member now, on or around that date. A week later comes 08.08.08 and we have chosen this date to launch our new offices in California along with my next meeting with Daniel Dingle. Things have never looked better and everything that we have been working on for the past 8 years is now evolving into something truly magical... Together we really are beginning to make an impact in changing this world for the better! This was my original dream and vision when I first set up the company 8 years ago and it's really wonderful to see all the different pieces of this amazing jigsaw puzzle falling into place. And what a truly amazing picture it looks too be sure...'

<title>National Orgasm Day Survey - 'fit’ women have twice as many orgasms!</title>
<description>Ali G was right all along! Some women are 'FIT', and when they are 'FIT' both partners enjoy better sex!

With National Orgasm Day on Thursday 31 July 2008 and the findings of the 2008 Orgasm Survey are particularly relevant and well timed.

There is now unequivocal evidence that a strong pelvic floor is key to a better sex life and National Orgasm Day is the perfect opportunity to remind women that pelvic floor exercises bring real benefits in the bedroom.

The www.orgasmsurvey.co.uk is ongoing but so far over 2000 women have shared their most intimate secrets and the key findings are:

* Nearly half of all women admit to not getting their fair share of orgasms

* The G-spot is not a myth - 75% of women claim to have one

* 25% of women don't think they have a G-spot and this group rarely achieve orgasm

* Women who claim to have a good pelvic floor have twice as many orgasms as those who don't

* 92% of women want to be shown how to exercise properly

* 82% of women reported a much improved sex life within 4 weeks when they were shown how to exercise properly using a resistance device

Why an Orgasm Survey and why is this relevant?

A strong and healthy pelvic floor is essential for good health especially before, during and after pregnancy, but the pelvic floor muscles are rarely exercised correctly because no one teaches the fundamental principles of effective exercise that were identified over 60 years ago.

A weakened or stretched pelvic floor muscle is a natural consequence of childbirth, the menopause and a lack of effective, regular exercise.

A weak or stretched pelvic floor muscle significantly reduces intimate contact during sex leading to fears of 'dysfunction' and frustration and dissatisfaction in both partners.

A weak or stretched pelvic floor muscle increases the risk of stress incontinence and prolapse. Stress incontinence - the involuntary leakage of urine when coughing, sneezing, laughing and exercising - affects a third of new mums and half of all women.

Demonstrating and publicising the positive link between a healthy and strong pelvic floor and better sex will

* improve the general health and sexual wellbeing of millions of women,

* improve and rekindle millions of relationships

* and reduce the incidence of stress incontinence

The 2008 Orgasm Survey was sponsored by Scarlet Magazine and SPM Ltd, manufacturers of the PelvicToner.

The Orgasm Survey is ongoing at [www.orgasmsurvey.co.uk|http://www.orgasmsurvey.co.uk]

The PelvicToner (£29.99) is a registered medical device designed to help identify and isolate the pubococcygeal muscle and then exercise it effectively against a variable resistance. Full scale clinical trials for the treatment of stress incontinence are underway.

<title>ONE IN FIVE RELY ENTIRELY ON INTERNET FRIENDSHIPS THIS SUMMER</title>
<description>We often hear how fear, isolation and ever increasing dangers make it difficult to meet people in today's society and a new survey released today seems to support that claim.

Dating &amp; Friendship website www.makefriendsonline.com polled 25,000 members and discovered an astounding 18% no longer feel able to meet people in any of the 'traditional' ways. This has resulted in almost one in five of those questioned turning to the internet as the sole source of all their social opportunities.

Whilst commentators may differ as to whether net socialising is a positive thing, it's still good to see our basic human urge to socialise has overcome the odds, particularly when the figures reveal previously isolated groups are able to contribute to, and are readily included in this social revolution.

Age is no longer an issue with the largest net-dependent age group being makefriendsonline's over-60's community, 23% of whom rely entirely on the internet for social opportunities.

Additional breakdowns revealed:

· The very highest and very lowest wage earners were more likely to be net-dependant than middle salary earners.

· The worst affected town in the UK appears to be Barking with a full third (36%) of respondents unable to find offline socialising opportunities and relying enitrely on net-introductions; that's more than double the national average of 17%.

· The starsign most likely to depend entirely on the net for socialising is Virgo.

· Bisexuals and Gays are 50% more likely to rely entirely on net introductions than their Heterosexual counterparts.

· A quarter of Smokers questioned said they depended on the net for introductions, probably due to the smoking ban.

Perhaps less surprising, the gender breakdowns showed more men than women relying on dating &amp; friendship sites, with 20% of male respondents depending entirely on the net for introductions compared to 15% of women. So if you ladies are out this weekend and wonder where all the men have gone, pop home and log on instead!

<title>Readmitted to Rehab - Former Alcoholic Speaks Out on Rehab</title>
<description>A FORMER alcoholic who is now helping transform the lives of those addicted to drink, has spoken out about the troublesome road to and from rehab.

Colin Perriss, the founder of alcohol mentoring company eNP4, was himself a ‘serious alcoholic’ and lost hundreds of thousands of pounds in the process.

He finally kicked the habit three years ago and has since made it his life objective to steer others away from the path he travelled and to help educate employers and individuals.

His comments come specifically in reference to rehabilitation –following recent news that yet another celebrity has been ‘readmitted’.

“It is always sad and disturbing to see anyone admitted to rehabilitation for alcohol addiction, but to be readmitted is all the more distressing, especially for the individual concerned and for those close to them,” he said.

“As an ex-alcoholic I struggle to understand why anyone would choose to go back. I seem to remember reading somewhere that one of the definitions of insanity is repeating the same exercise expecting a different result!”

Recalling his own experience, he added: “When I drank alcohol, I did so to change my ‘state’ or the way I was feeling, and it worked every time and usually fairly quickly, although towards the end of my alcoholic days it took more to get the same effect than when I started out, but as with most alcoholics my tolerance to alcohol was very high in the end.

“I could drink substantial amounts of alcohol with no obvious difference to my physical appearance, my speech, people around me didn’t even realise that I had been drinking. I was just ‘one of the boys’ and the more poison I could drink and stay standing the better my image, in their eyes at least.

“Strange things like how long I could hold off visiting the toilet and the gap between subsequent visits seemed to affect my credibility among my drinking friends.”

As Colin approached the point at which he was facing the choice of changing or dying, he felt that, for him, rehabilitation simply wasn’t an option.

By that time he had drunk away all of his money and felt he had to work it out himself.

“Rehab is very unlikely to be the place where you started drinking alcohol, you are outside of your normal environment or ‘reality’,” he said.

“Go back to your reality and most likely there are the things that drove you to drink waiting for you. Maybe your work in rehab will have given you some tools to use when you believe that you just can’t cope and your old friend alcohol will fix it for you - but it will never fix anything.

“You are most likely back in rehab because you have not tackled or addressed whatever it is that is driving you to drink alcohol to change the way that you feel about it, and clearly rehab did not help you to address the last time that you find yourself there.”

Colin believes alcoholism is completely curable. He believes that if we know enough about alcohol, how and why it works, there’s a good chance we would never want to drink it again.

Unlike many training companies and individuals dealing with alcoholics, Colin’s unique position is that he has experienced the living hell that is alcoholism.

“In my experience two steps are required,” he said. “The first is to stop drinking alcohol (having consulted you GP first as Delirium Tremors or the DT’s is considered a medical emergency and can be fatal), and the second is to tackle whatever it is that’s driving you to drink alcohol to change the way you feel.

“Many of us avoid this process or at best delay it because we know that it is likely to be both painful and challenging.”

He added: “If Rehab worked for you, that’s good news and I hope that the rest of your life will be all you want it to be.

“If however following a stint in rehab you are thinking of a return, ask what will be different this time, if there is no obvious answer it may be time to consider a different path. You do have a choice.”
